Many us need to follow an exercise program, in order to remain healthy. Below, you’ll find several good
reasons why you should start exercising now.
1. Contributes to Fat Loss
It is well proven from scientific research all over the world that physical exercise contributes to weight loss. If you burn more calories than you consume through nutrition, you’ll lose weight. When you exercise, you burn more calories than when you don’t. It’s really simple - the more you exercise, the more weight or fat you’ll lose.
2. Prevent Disease
The chances of developing several various diseases has been proven to decrease when exercising. These
diseases include heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and the stroke.
Around 4 out of 5 deaths caused by heart disease and cancer, are linked to factors that include stress
and lack of exercise. We all know that diabetes increases the chance for heart attacks and strokes.
What this shows, is that many of the risk factors and diseases caused by not exercising are working
in conjunction to damage your health. To prevent this from happening, start exercising.
3. Improving Disease
Many severe and minor diseases can be improved or even healed through regular exercise. These even
include the diseases listed above. By following a regular plan, you can also decrease HDL cholesterol levels, decrease triglyceride levels, and decrease your blood pressure as well.
Exercising on a regular basis will also reduce the risk of prostate cancer for men, breast and uterine cancer for women, and much more. All of this is scientifically proven, which is why you should start exercising today.
4. Enhance your state of mind
Everyone knows from the many scientific studies that regular exercising will lead to an increased release of endorphins in the body. These chemicals will fight depression and make you feel happy. The body releases these endorphins only 12 minutes into the workout.
There is another chemical known as serotonin that is increased during and after a workout. The increased levels of serotonin in the central nervous system is associated with feelings of well being and decreased mental depression. The chemical can also help you sleep better at night.
5. Enhance your wellness
When you are in great shape and well fit, you’ll have more energy and you’ll notice that your overall mood is improved. You will have experienced that you can stretch beyond your own limits and you know that you can do more than you thought possible.
6. Persistence
Exercising regularly will give you more energy, which can help you be more productive at home and at work. Exercising can help give your new goals a sense of purpose and give you something to focus on and aim for. This can help you increase your persistence and prevent you from going off track while you aim for your goal.
7. Social capabilities
After a workout on a regular basis you can boost your self esteem. This can help you look better and you’ll be more comfortable as well. Exercise will also help you to become more active and meet new people, which will prevent you from feeling isolated and unsupported. Exercise will also increase your interests in sex, and can help you to improve your marriage or your partner relationship.

After knowing all of these tips and reasons to exercise, you shouldn’t hesitate to get out there and exercise. You can exercise at home or go out there and join a gym. There are several different ways that you can
exercise, all you have to do is select a few that you like. Take a little bit of time out of your day and start exercising - you’ll feel better than ever before and your body will thank you.

Mums Weight Loss Program came into being because of a desire to bring my journey with Club FYM and being a Fit Yummy Mummy to other moms of all ages and backgrounds, so that they too could experience the wonderful results that other moms are getting.
As a mum of two teenage boys, I found myself pushed to the back of the queue when it came to giving myself any attention. Let’s face it, there is always something else clamouring for our attention, whether it is the washing needing hanging on the line, grocery shopping in our lunch hour, delivery and collection of said children to football/ballet/music/tennis lessons or practice or putting the evening meal on the table.
A year ago I decided that enough was enough. I had DONE with all the aches and pains, looking and feeling like a granny of 80 at 47. There simply had to be something out there that I could do without wheezing like an asthmatic ant with a heavy load of shopping; giving up after a couple of weeks into the gym membership; feeling like death warmed up from the terrible burning in my muscles when I did exercise and that denial that the food I was eating was not doing me any good.
Who was going to look after me if I got sick?
A year ago I found Fit Yummy Mummy and eagerly bought the program and signed up for Club FYM. Holly’s warning at the head of the page got me thinking that here at last was someone who understood what I was going through, ” …before you start doing long, mind-numbing cario workouts… ” and “Discover the Secret Method Busy Moms are Using to Burn the Lingering “Baby Fat” and Get Their Body Back with Fun, Fast, Workouts You Can Do Right at Home”. Whilst I didn’t put myself in the “baby fat” catagory, I was still a mom wasn’t I?
I’ll be honest here - I DID NOT appreciate what I held in my hands! A community of such wonderful women who support, encourage, help, and most importantly befriend with an enlightened leader in Holly Rigsby. It took me until September of last year to really get to grips with both the program and to fully understand what a gift it was to be a part of Club FYM.
Life got in the way. In the words of Nike I did not “just do it”. I didn’t establish a routine because I don’t think I had really bought into a strong enough why. Excuses after excuses flooded my brain - it was after all only a few pounds, I didn’t want to go through the burn of exercise and I definitely didn’t want to change my eating habits. I love food, I am after all a Cordon Bleu cook and for my age I don’t look that bad, do I?
After a summer of really hitting rock bottom with my body (for me) looking worse than ever - little (?, more like medium sized) pads of fat sitting over my elbows, the “muffin top” taking over the jeans and my thighs turning into thighs that resembled Olympic wight lifters, my chest growing to something that resembled my Victorian great granny’s ample bosom, I clearly had to take myself in hand and do something about myself. After all it wasn’t going to get any better doing what I was doing up until now - which was practically nothing other than think about it.
I turned back to Club FYM and began logging on each day, reading other people’s blogs and reading the wealth of help and advice that Holly dispenses with love and affection.
On October 14 I simply made up my mind to start the workouts and blog about it. Here is my first blog on the day I made that decision. I gave myself a free 30 day trial!
As you can see from that blog post, I still hadn’t admitted to myself how bad I looked because I did not take any before photos, shoving down those negative emotions because I couldn’t face showing me with the world. I now wished I had because I have come to understand that in the photos you can see just how far you come in such a short time.
Tomorrow I will share with you my results and my journey up to today, but I’ll leave you with a never before published photo of me before I started on my Fit Yummy Mummy journey.
PS. Sorry for the lack of photo - for some reason I could not get it to load, so I will try again tomorrow with some other photos!
